Sales team LEANS towards “Time IS Money” Cliché. Huge Impact Expected!

Lean Meeting #3 featured our Sales Department. In attendance were Jeff S, Jen and Chris S.

Jen spearheaded the idea of streamlining processes relating to select customers who consistently order the same products. This includes creating a spreadsheet referencing the customer’s usual quote, and a subsequent “generic” quote sitting in DMS. When a customer calls and wants “more of the same thing”, the spreadsheet is referenced, the matching quote is found, and then duplicated with necessary changes quickly. This saves tons of search time, takes several steps out of the current process, allows for an expedited quoting system and for quicker coverage while other sales people are away. The majority of this initiative will most likely take 90 days to implement, however this is an ongoing process designed to assist both Wholesale and Prime!

Simply put, it’s a comprehensive way of duplicating common orders while continuously extending efficiency.

To make it even more efficient, the sales people would like to figure out a way for the illustrators to attach “generic” drawings to each of the “generic” quotes as well. This will allow a quicker turn from illustration too, as they’d most likely only have to update the copy points.
