It’s a LAUNDRY LIST OF LEAN with CHRISTINE!

The focus of this week’s Lean Meeting was Building Operations and Special Projects. Christine and I met to discuss what processes can be put into place to decrease costs/save money. Christine’s identified a few “overstocking issues” and is about ready to lay the hammer down, thus saving us significant dollars.

Here’s what Christine came up with:

• $720/year savings by cancelling Time Warner Cable subscription (done)
• $280/year savings by working with KoldRock regarding our water service (by 8/30)
• $300/year savings by working with Mill Creek Coffee regarding over stocking supplies and more! (by 8/15)
• $1200/year savings by reducing changing of the Harrington Laundry rugs to once/month from twice/month. Thank you to Lisa and her detailed cleaning! (by 7/30)
• $5000/year by analyzing and reducing un-needed phone lines and extra services from Verizon (by 10/31)
• $1000/year by reconfiguring the Verizon Wireless plan (by 8/30)

TOTAL SAVINGS: $7500/year!!! Go Christine!!!
