Marketing Looks at Interactive Calendaring, Cross-Role Collaboration & Corporate Communication
The Marketing Team, in Lean session #5 successfully demonstrated the use of critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skill as they presented a multi-colored system for sharing various marketing deadlines. In attendance were: Briana, Tiffany, Nicole, David, and Patrick.
Their concept began when the marketing team all moved in to the front office. “How can we be more organized, more productive”, they thought. By utilizing “soon-to-be-developed” functionality in DMS, the marketing team will better communicate with each other & management through a proposed color coded system of indicating various marketing target dates for items such as special projects, meetings, editorial deadlines for magazines and publications, events/show registration & shipping deadlines, and reporting deadlines. This will eliminate the need for multiple meetings and emails (hours per week possibly) as the calendar will be the one stop shop for all deadline information for marketing. And the calendar will have built- in alerts and reminders so no one is caught off guard. A great idea from a GREAT team!
